The Center for Anti-Violence Education (CAE) is excited to offer this great 6-week class that provides training in self-defense and violence prevention for teens!
Students learn verbal and physical self-defense techniques, and participate in activities and discussions relating to violence prevention, safety, and conflict de-escalation.
This class is open to teen women and transyouth ages 14-19.
Advance registration is required--please contact us to sign up!
Location:
This class will be taught as part of the Sadie Nash Leadership Camp, and will be held at their location in Manhattan. Students need not be enrolled in the camp to take the self-defense class. For more information, please contact CAE.

CAE is at the corner of 7th Street & 5th Avenue in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. We are on the 2nd floor of 327 7th Street, above a grocery store & deli.
5-Week Self-Defense Class for Adult Women and Transpeople

The Center for Anti-Violence Education (CAE) is excited to offer this class for adult women and transpeople of all abilities.
Students learn verbal and physical self-defense techniques, and participate in activities and discussions relating to violence prevention, safety, and conflict de-escalation.
The class is offered on a sliding-scale fee basis depending on household income. Survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault may take this class for free. CAE is proud to provide free childcare for all students, upon request.

This class will be held at the Park Slope United Methodist Church, located at 493 8th Street (at the corner of 8th Avenue) in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
