FAQ and Factsheets: The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault

TAASA is a non-profit educational and advocacy organization. As an agency, TAASA works to promote sexual assault awareness throughout the state of Texas. We provide training to rape crisis personnel, law enforcement, other service agencies, community groups, and schools on topical issues related to sexual assault as well as curriculum information for sexual assault trainings.

As the statewide organization committed to ending sexual violence in Texas, TAASA also hosts an annual conference held in various cities throughout the state. In addition, TAASA produces brochures on diverse sexual assault-related topics including but not limited to: date rape, sexual abuse of seniors, male sexual assault, incest, child sexual abuse, and stalking. We distribute A Survivor's Booklet, designed to guide survivors of sexual assault through the trauma the attack through the courtroom process. These materials are available in both English and Spanish. TAASA's quarterly newsletter, the TAASA Connection, contains information on sexual assault as well as membership updates.

Additionally, during the Texas legislative session TAASA tracks legislation relevant to the legislative agenda.
